Delete your Plainova account

The fastest way is right in the app: open Settings → Delete my account. This permanently deletes your account and all data associated with it immediately.

Prefer email? Email support@plainova.app from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account," and we will delete it within 30 days and confirm by email.

How to request deletion

Email support@plainova.app from the address you use to sign in to Plainova.
Use the subject line Delete my account.
We may reply to confirm the request is really from you before deleting, to protect your account from someone else asking on your behalf.

What gets deleted

Your account and email address.
Any letters you saved in the app. These are stored only in encrypted form that we cannot read, and they are erased completely.
Your reading-language preference and app settings.

Most letters are never stored at all — they are explained and then discarded — so in most cases there is little saved data to remove beyond your account itself.

What we may keep, and for how long

We may retain a minimal record of a subscription or payment where we are required to for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons. Payment records themselves are held by Google Play or the Apple App Store, not by us. Routine encrypted backups are purged on a rolling schedule after your data is deleted from our active systems.

If you have an active subscription

Deleting your account does not by itself cancel a subscription billed by Google Play or Apple. To stop future charges, also cancel the subscription in your Google Play or Apple App Store account settings.
